Make a Concrete Driveway your New Year’s Resolution

02 Jan 2020

If your New Year’s resolution was to re-design the look of your property, then a concrete driveway from Cobblecrete should be part of your plans.
In our latest post, we are going to look at the different types of patterns you can choose from.

Your Choice of Driveway Design

Here are three of our most popular driveway pattern designs to choose from –

Slate Pattern – The slate pattern has a riven surface with character creating markings that complement both town and country houses.
Kensington Cobble Pattern – The Kensington cobble pattern will give your driveway an extremely authentic and bespoke finish.
European Fan Pattern – The European pattern, sometimes referred to as a Florentine or Belgium Block pattern, is one of the most complicated and works better when designed in cubes or on sets of smaller plan dimensions. Having said this, the pattern is visually stunning, best suited to natural colours.

For the full effect, we would recommend using it on a space that is at least three metres wide, otherwise, the pattern can sometimes become lost. Fans that are laid with contrasting colours such as silver-grey granite and black basalt look spectacular when given the space to be appreciated.

Why You Should Choose Pattern Imprinted Driveways

Pattern imprinted concrete driveways are considerably cheaper than block paving, cover larger areas quicker plus there are fewer gaps meaning you won’t need to weed around it. Imprinted concrete drives are also less likely to sink because of being fibre-mesh enforced.

Working with Cobblecrete we will discuss the options available to you and find the best pattern design to match the style of your home.
